I check my phone for text messages, nothing. If she was worried about me wouldn’t she have stayed to make sure that I was ok? What was that thing with the fangs, did I imagine that? I glance down at myself and see two tiny puncture holes. I probably wouldn’t have noticed them if I hadn’t been looking for them. I sit back, sipping my coffee. I have to text her, but what do I say?
